This is a gentle journey for those who love tea, views, walks and relaxation. Sri Lanka’s Hill Country is a sublime destination for slow travel, for learning about Sri Lanka’s historic tea industry, and for getting active exploring tea plantation trails. Our hotels in the hills are blissfully remote and relaxing, and the cooler, fresher air promises to rejuvenate the soul. Continuing in the tea theme, the next three nights will be spent at Kahanda Kanda, an all-suite hotel 20-minutes inland from Galle’s beaches that sits within a private 12-acre tea estate. To finish off, head up to Glenross Living, 40-minutes drive inland from west coast Kalutara. This sublime wellness hotel carved out of a 19th century plantation house, sits on the side of a valley overlooking paddy fields, cinnamon, rubber and tea estates.
*Since the journey between the airport and Camellia Hills is around a 4 to 5 hour drive, you may wish to include a first night’s stay at Wallawwa (near the airport). And, if your clients prefer a beach stay, they could opt for KK Beach and visit Kahanda Kanda from there.
